FAQ

What does ‘Imbas’ mean or stand for?

In Dúil Bélrai;
‘Imbas’ noun
(sean-ghaeilge/old irish)
Divinatory skill, encompassing knowledge which illuminates, fore-knowledge, inspiration, magic lore, prophetic power

The new name for our company took quite a bit of searching. I wanted something that reflected my main inspiration, as well as my own personal beliefs. Next to that we had to find a name that would not alienate people, but at the same time have enough power to create interest.

Eventually it came to us with the very meaning of the word itself; Imbas Creations. My belief. My inspiration.

Product Information

All prints and posters ordered through Imbas Creations are hand signed by the artist. At the moment we ‘re only offering unlimited prints, but in the near future we hope to add limited edition prints to our shop. Greeting cards are not signed by the artist, but can be done on request. As we’ve only just started up with the new company, printing is done on demand at the moment, and stock is fairly low. Because of this please allow 2-4 weeks shipping time. If you need your items immediately, please contact us at; order@imbascreations.com

Prints
The paper size of the prints are 216mm x 279mm and they are printed on paper stock: 100 lb. (120 gr/m² ) text with aqueous coating. Because of the dimensions of the artwork, the image may not take up all of the paper. In these cases the artist has provided us with the best possible size for the image, and remaining borders are printed black.

Small Posters
The paper size of the posters is 292mm x 444mm and they are printed on premium poster card stock. Posters will be shipped in poster tubes when possible for safety reasons. All images have been optimised to fit the full bleed of the poster.

Greeting Cards
The paper size of the cards is 185mm x 120mm and they are printed on paper stock: premium, 80 lb. (215 gsm) card stock. All cards are blank on the inside, unless specified otherwise, and come with their own blank envelope(s).

Canvas Prints
Although not listed in the shop menu at the moment we are working on creating canvas prints. If you are interested in a canvas print please send us a email; order@imbascreations.com

If you desire to have the artwork framed I suggest getting a proper matt for it. Your local framing shop should be able to help you make the artwork a striking feature of your home!

Usage of Artwork

All personal and non-profit work is generally allowed. The public is free to download and save my work onto their computer if they wish. They are also allowed to re-post the artwork as long as my copyright notice remains intact AND visible. The artwork may not be edited other than resizing alterations. You are allowed to use my artwork for personal icons and banners, but do put my name back on it plus a link to this website. DO NOT link images directly off my website, as this steals my bandwidth.

You are NOT allowed to re-sell my work, pretend it was you that made it or heavily reference off my artwork. If you wish to re-sell my work you can visit the ‘Licensing and Wholesale’ information page to see how to obtain permission to do so. All violations of my copyright will be dealt with accordingly.

Tattoo

I receive a lot of tattoo requests from people wanting to know if they can use a certain image for the purpose of a personal tattoo. By all means, go right ahead! I do request two things from anyone considering to use my artwork for the purpose of body-decoration. Because my artwork is my income I would like to ask anyone who wants to get a certain image tattooed on themselves to send me a wee donation. This can be whatever amount you feel fit, a small payment to support the artist. The second thing I ask is if people could send me a picture of the finished result.

Commissioning

I am indeed available for commissions, please see the commission tab on the main menu for more information.
